Technical Education Program

In a collaborative effort, FDO partnered with Mid-State Technical College and ECDC to successfully conclude a three-month technical educational training program for refugees and immigrants in the United States. The program guided participants in pursuing technical education in various fields, such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, mechanical engineering, fire brigade training, and nursing.

Throughout the program, refugees and immigrants were equipped with valuable information on accessing state and national financial aid resources to support their technical education goals. The training program not only emphasized the importance of technical skills but also highlighted the crucial role of financial resources in sustaining the initiative and helping individuals pursue careers in these specialized fields.

With the support and collaboration of FDO, Mid-State Technical College, and ECDC, participants gained the necessary knowledge and tools to pursue technical education and training in the US. The successful completion of the program signifies a significant step in providing refugees and immigrants with opportunities to acquire valuable technical skills and embark on fulfilling career paths in various industries.
